Discarded plastics and tires, along with municipal solid waste (MSW), contain valuable materials and untapped energy. Recovering that value can turn a growing environmental hazard and disposal burden into green energy, fuels, industrial products, and new economic opportunities.
353 MILLION TONS
Plastic waste generated worldwide in a single year—more than double the amount in 2000 and increasing.
ONLY 9% RECYCLED
A fraction of global plastic waste was recycled. The vast majority was landfilled, incinerated, or mismanaged—a massive recover opportunity.
1 BILLION+ TIRES EVERY YEAR
More than one billion tires reach the end of their usable lives annually worldwide—a recurring stream of material ready for recovery and reuse.
1 BILLION TONS BY 2060
Annual global plastic waste is projected to nearly triple under business as usual. The need for effective recovery solutions is growing. Take advantage.
PlastiFission is modular and can be deployed within 6-8 months.
Units vary from 24 metric tons/day to 100 metric tons/day.
Output product mix ratios and volumes vary depending on feedstock. Bio-waste generates more gas, while plastics generate more liquid fuel and less gas. Tires create less gas and liquid fuel than plastics, but more carbon black.
Choose the option to generate electricity directly from the gas or pyro-oils or further process the oils to diesel and gasoline. Importantly, PlastiFission can also convert gas to liquid fuel.
The numbers below are illustrative only based on a 24 metric-ton unit.
With 20 systems deployed across 10 countries, PlastiFission uses proven, real-world technology. Here are a few highlights:

Carson, CA —
Bio-solid to diesel fuel
A Gas-to-Liquid installation converting bio-solid feedstock into 30,000 gallons of diesel fuel per year, demonstrating commercial viability.
